Gallery BMB, a new contemporary art space in Mumbai, brings a new light to the art world in India aiming to blend with global ideologies and culture. Gallery BMB’s vision is based on showing artists who have been recognized the world over along with Indian artists who are young and talented. The space blends design and form with architecture, and yet becomes a neutral space to justify all forms of art.
More than just a gallery space, BMB’s goal is to create a cultural and artistic community, a place where artists, collectors, writers and enthusiasts gravitate. To enable this, the gallery houses a unique art bookshop specializing in the best and most up-to-date contemporary art, fashion, photography, film and design publications from around the world. The books range from rare collectors’ editions to reference books as well as documentations. To compliment the bookstore, we also have a coffee shop in the space, which encourages our visitors to spend quality time and absorb the essence and ambience of a truly interactive oasis.
Gallery BMB exhibits solo as well as group shows, which are curated and will also set a characteristic of the gallery’s persona. We will also be representing emerging artists from India and abroad, who work with diverse media like sculpture, photography, graphic design, architecture etc.
