Birla Urja is developing commercial utility scale solar projects and has registered a 50 MW PV power project in Gujarat and 5 MW PV project & 50 MW CSP project in Rajasthan. The Solar PV initiative is a step towards forward integration in the solar value chain. Since another Group company viz. Birla Surya LTD is setting up a 125 MW crystalline Wafer Project and 65 MW solar cells project in Maharashtra with an investment of Rs. 1500 Crore.
